God’s Loving Filter

We are about to have a total eclipse. Everyone is being told to protect their eyes and their camera lens during the exciting event in order to fully appreciate the wonder of the moment.

What if we took this filtering idea into our everyday lives and ordinary moments of interaction with each other in order to appreciate the wonder of the moments spent together?

Imagine a filter composed entirely of tightly woven particles of God’s love. Everything we say and do would first pass through this filter before being released.

We can be sure our filter is in place by consciously making an effort to be aware of God’s constant presence with us. Using this filter before we open our mouths to speak. we will be better equipped to share God’s loving grace. Our words will not be harmful, but healing and hope-filled. Because we will be aware of being surrounded by God’s love, we will be better able to listen with an open heart and mind.

Blessings will abound as we spend time with each other once we begin filtering our words and actions through God’s filter of love.

About dorissavanover

Wife, mom, mom-in-law, and grandma, I write stories of everyday blessings - those ordinary moments that become extraordinary when we become aware of being in God's awesome presence. Recently retired, I enjoyed twenty-eight years of employment as an executive assistant to a commercial real estate broker. I'm excited to have more time to write and share the wonders of living an abundantly fulfilling life; a life of having a real relationship with Jesus Christ, our Savior, the Son of our very loving Heavenly Father.
