Clarity

Looking through the windshield, I saw large strands of soft, blue scrubbing cloths gently swirling over the hood before hitting the glass. Through the back glass, white soapy suds were blocking my vision. My car was moving slowly along the track without my guidance. The outside noises changed as my vehicle slowly proceeded forward.

Sitting in the car, I felt enclosed in my private world, waiting to see what would occur next as my car traveled through the carwash. Of course, I knew the final result would be that my car would be clean, and I would be able to see clearly out of the windows again.

I was reminded of the times in my life when confusion, turmoil, and trials clouded my thinking. I could not find solutions. Sometimes, solutions were not even mine to find; not my business and out of my control.

Sitting quietly in God’s presence, clarity returns. Listening and being comforted by him, I am in my secure place, my sanctuary. Cocooned in my Heavenly Father’s presence, I am set free from anxieties and stress.

God is the answer; always. He knows what is going to happen. He knows we aren’t in control. He loves us, and he alone is our strength during trials. We can trust our Heavenly Father to be with us and to guide us when we can’t see our way clearly. He will make known to us the path we are to follow.

Acts 2:28 You have made known to me the paths of life;  you will fill me with joy in your presence.’
