God is like that!

Sitting at my desk, I heard the door open and glanced up to see my friend, a fellow tenant in the office building, walking in. After visiting a few minutes, she commented, “You seem a little down today.”

After sharing some of my concerns with her, I said, “Some days, I’m so happy, I want to dance! Other days, I just need to cry. Life is like that.”

She assured me that she understood and that she was always willing to listen. I thanked her and she went back to her office.

Thinking back on our conversation, I realized what a comfort a friend can be; someone to listen and understand. How like our loving Heavenly Father to tend our needs by sending a friend. Even more comforting is the fact that He knows our thoughts, our desires, and our needs and loves each of us so dearly!

On the days we feel like dancing for joy, He is with us. On the days we can’t stop the flow of tears, He is with us. Whether we are lifting our arms in thanksgiving and praise, or on our knees sobbing out our distress, He is right there – always. He never leaves us and He never stops loving us. He is there to accept our praise and He is there to hear our pleas.

Now I will say, “Some days, I’m so happy, I want to dance! Other days, I just need to cry, and every day, God is with me every step of the way. God is like that!
